12 Dec PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests in Foz do Iguaçu
If you are in Foz do Iguaçu city and you are wanting to cross the border from Brazil to Argentina, then you must follow the new Covid protocols and get tested before you go.
Currently, Argentina border control is requesting people who wish to cross from Brazil have with them printed proof of a PCR or a Rapid antigen test in order to be able to enter Argentina.
After completing the Brazilian immigration processes, you drive a couple of kilometres to a checkpoint where you must park and queue to have your Rapid Antigen or PCR documentation checked and stamped. You then get back in your car and drive to passport control where they will check for the stamp before processing your entry into Argentina.
The crossing should be made within 72 hours of having the test, so think about getting it done as close as possible to the time you wish to go to Argentina.
We have a page where we update other current Iguazu border requirements, with lots of information about what you need to cross the border during this ongoing pandemic.
