The falls sit on the border between Brazil and Argentina, so visiting both sides means going through immigration. Here is what to bring.
Your driver guides you through the exit and entry formalities on every crossing, so you always know where to go.
Leaving Brazil, you get your exit stamp while your luggage stays in the car. On the Argentine side, you go through immigration on foot. In a car, your second driver is waiting about 25 metres away, so you skip the line of cars. In a van, you stay in the same vehicle and use the special tourist corridor. Coming back, the same happens in reverse.
Everyone travelling between Brazil and Argentina uses the same bridge, and on busy days the line of cars at immigration can take hours. We avoid it. In a car we use two vehicles and two drivers, one on each side: your first driver points out your second driver before you go into Argentine immigration, and you meet them about 25 metres away. Our vans use the special tourist corridor at the Argentine border, so you stay in the same vehicle. Either way, you skip the queue.

What crossing between Brazil and Argentina was really like.
“Highly recommend this service! We were picked up from our hotel right on time and driven to the Argentine border, where our driver clearly explained the immigration process. Once we had cleared immigration, another driver was waiting for us on the Argentine side to take us to Iguazú National Park. The return journey was just as smooth and well-organized.”

“Very organised and professional. Our driver was waiting for us as we got of the flight. He took us through the immigration process and then handed us to the next driver on the other side of the border. Everything was very clear, and it took the hassle out of trying to organise taxis on either side and figuring out the border control areas. Excellent service”

“Seamless, easy transfer from Argentina hotel to Brazil. Clean, spacious car, friendly and helpful driver! We had our own line for immigration and were in and out in about 5 minutes. Will definitely use this service again!”

“Was a fantastic experience. The entire transfer from the Hotel in Iguazu falls Argentina to Foz do Iguacu in Brazil was literally 30 mins in total. The presence of two cars, with a separate pick up on the Brazil side ensured a lot of time saved while other cars were in the queue to clear immigration and customs.”

“Nestor and the team at Iguazu Falls Travel are fantastic. I came across their website while researching the logistics of traveling across borders during COVID. “Great transport service from Foz do Iguaçu to Argentinian Iguazu Falls. Easy to book even with a short notice. The drivers helped us get through the immigration process seamlessly. We changed the cars at the immigration so that we don't have to wait in the long car line. Thanks to this, we could get back to the airport with a plenty of time left.”

“Nestor's taxi operation is excellent - it saves you valuable time to have a holiday at the actual Iguazu Falls rather than wait in an immigration queue - it gets you across the border from Brazil to the Argentinian side of the waterfalls or vice versa by using a tag team of a Brazilian and then an Argentinian taxis.”

Yes. Every traveller, including babies and children, needs their own valid passport to cross the border.
If you stay in the same country, you do not cross a border. It is still a good idea to carry it: buying Argentine park tickets online asks for the card holder's passport number, and the Gran Aventura boat ride checks ID.
It depends on your nationality, and the rules can change. Please check the official requirements for your passport before you travel.
Yes. Even if you come back the same day, you go through immigration each way.
Your passport, a visa only if your nationality requires one, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
Tell us your dates and where you are staying, and we will plan private transport to both sides of the falls.
