Service Description

Your driver will collect you from your hotel, hostel, or Airbnb in Foz do Iguacu and transfer you to the entrance of the Brazilian side of the falls where you explore on your own. After you visit the falls, you will meet your driver again and you will continue to the Foz do Iguacu IGU airport in time to check-in for your departure flight.

 

* Vehicles that operate this transfer often get reserved in advance. We recommend making a booking as soon as possible to secure a vehicle.

Do you have enough time?

  1. From downtown Foz do Iguacu, the travel time to the entrance to the Brazil side of the falls is about 40 minutes.
  2. The gates to the national park open daily at 09:00 am, and you need to exit by 18:00 pm.
  3. The entrance to the park is located about 15 minutes from the airport.
  4. We recommend that you book this transfer only if your flight is departing the Foz do Iguacu airport after 12:30 pm.
  5. If you walk quickly, you can see the falls in around 2.5 hours.
  6. To visit the falls at a comfortable pace you need about 3 hours.
  7. If you want to do the Brazilian Bird Park located near the entrance, calculate about 1.5 hours more.
  8. If you want to do the Boat under the falls located inside the park, calculate an extra 2 hours.
  9. If you want to do the Helicopter located near the entrance, calculate about 1 hour more. The flight only takes 10 minutes, but there is often waiting time.

About this transfer

  Pick-up Areas:  Locations within the city limits of Foz do Iguacu.

 

  Frequency: You may schedule a pickup if your flight is departing the IGU airport after 12:30 pm.  This transfer operates 7 days a week.

 

  National Park Entrance Fee:  The entrance to the Brazil side of the falls is not included. You may pay directly when you arrive at the National Park, and they accept cash & credit card, and there is also an ATM machine at the entrance, or you may pre-purchase your entrance on this page: Brazil Side Entrance Tickets

 

  Guide: No guide accompanies you at the falls.  It is possible to add an English speaking guide to your reservation on the next page.

 

  Luggage Storage: You may leave your luggage in the car while you visit the falls, but we ask you to lock them and to not leave money and valuables in the car. Take valuables with you into the park or place them in the park’s lockers located at the entrance.

 

  Pick up after the falls:  On the day of your transfer, you will set the time and place for your pick up at the falls directly with the driver.

 

  Pit-Stops: This is a non-stop transfer. Any stops on the way need prior permission (please contact us) or choose one of our pit stops on the following page.

Vehicles

Vehicles are no older than 5 years and are insured against damages to the passenger regardless of whether in Brazil, Argentina or Paraguay.  Drivers hold credentials from the Sest Senat training school in Foz do Iguaçu.

 

 For 1 – 4 passengers – Private Sedan – Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Zafira, Chevrolet Meriva or similar

Baggage Allowance:  4 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 4 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 4. If you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance, then contract the van transfer for 5 passengers instead.

 

  For 5 – 12 passengers – Private MiniVan – Renault Master, Mercedes Sprinter or similar

Baggage Allowance:  12 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 15 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 12.  Contact us before booking if you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance.
