Service Description

Our driver will pick you up from your location in Puerto Iguazu and take you to the international border. You will be guided through the processes involved with the Argentine passport control, and then again at the Brazilian passport control. After finalizing immigration, you will continue to the Brazil side of the Iguazu falls where you explore on your own. After you visit the falls, you will meet your driver and transfer to the Foz do Iguacu airport.

 

   Vehicles that operate this transfer often get reserved in advance. We recommend making a booking as soon as possible to secure a vehicle.

Do you have enough time?

  1. To have enough time at the falls, we recommend that your flight departure be no earlier than 13:00 pm, with your flight check-in at 12:00 midday.
  2. From the Puerto Iguazu city center, the average time to the entrance to the Brazil side is 1 hour.
  3. The gates to the national park open daily at 09:00 am and close at 18:00 pm.
  4. If you walk quickly, you can see the falls in around 2.5 hours.
  5. To visit the falls at a comfortable pace you need about 3 hours.
  6. If you want to do the Brazilian Bird Park located near the entrance, calculate about 1.5 hours more.
  7. If you want to do the Boat under the falls located inside the park, calculate an extra 2 hours.
  8. If you want to do the Helicopter located near the entrance, calculate about 1 hour more. The flight only takes 10 minutes, but there is often waiting time.
  9. From the Entrance to the National Park to the airport, the drive time is 15 minutes.
  10. For domestic flights, you need to be at the airport at least 1 hour before your flight, and at least 2 hours for international flights.

About this transfer

  Frequency: This transfer operates 7 days a week. You may schedule this transfer if your flight departs the IGU airport after 13:00 pm.  

 

  Pick-up Areas:  Locations within the city limits of Puerto Iguazu. If staying at the Gran Melia Hotel, there is an extra charge for this service that you can add on the next page.

 

  Border Crossings: Your driver will guide you through the process of exiting Argentina and entering Brazil. Our vehicles also use a special tourism lane to cross into Argentina making the crossing faster than possible the general public.  Important – this transfer crosses an international border. It is your responsibility to have the correct documents to complete the immigration processes.

 

  National Park Entrance Fee:  The entrance to the Brazil side of the falls is not included. You may pay directly when you arrive at the National Park, and they accept cash & credit card, and there is also an ATM machine at the entrance, or save time and pre-purchase your entrance on this page: Brazil Side Entrance Tickets

 

  Guide: No guide accompanies you at the falls.  It is possible to add an English speaking guide to your reservation on the next page.

 

  Luggage Storage: You may leave your luggage in the car while you visit the falls, but we ask you to lock them and to not leave money and valuables in the car. Take valuables with you into the park or place them in the park’s lockers located at the entrance.

 

  Pick-up after the falls:  On the day of your transfer, you will set the time and place for your pick up at the falls directly with the driver.

 

  Pit-Stops: This is a non-stop transfer. Any stops on the way need prior permission (please contact us) or choose one of our pit stops on the following page.

Vehicles

Vehicles are no older than 5 years and are insured against damages to the passenger regardless of whether in Brazil, Argentina, or Paraguay.  Drivers hold credentials from the Sest Senat training school in Foz do Iguaçu.

 

 For 1 – 4 passengers – Private Sedan – Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Zafira, Chevrolet Meriva or similar

Baggage Allowance:  4 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 4 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 4. If you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance, then contract the van transfer for 5 passengers instead.

 

  For 5 – 12 passengers – Private MiniVan – Renault Master, Mercedes Sprinter or similar

Baggage Allowance:  12 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 15 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 12.  Contact us before booking if you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance.
