While making your booking you set the time you want a driver to come and collect you from your hotel in Foz do Iguacu. At the time scheduled, your driver will meet you at the hotel’s reception and then drive you to the border.
The first stop will be at the Brazilian border control where you have your travel documents stamped for exiting the country, and then you continue over the Iguazu river and stop again at the Argentine immigration office where you have your passport stamped for entering Argentina. From the border, you will be delivered safely to your accommodation in the city of Puerto Iguazu.

From the Foz do Iguacu city centre, the average time it takes to get to the Puerto Iguazu city centre is 1 hour. When there is above average traffic it can take up to 2 hours, especially on public holidays & long weekends.

Pick-up Areas: Locations within the city limits of Foz do Iguacu. If you are staying at the Belmond Cataratas Hotel then drop off is at the hotel’s shuttle reception at the entrance to the national park. There is an extra fee for this service which you add during the booking.
Border Crossings: Your driver will guide you through the process of exiting Brazil and entering Argentina. Our vehicles also use a special tourism lane to cross into Argentina making the crossing faster than possible the general public. Important – this transfer crosses an international border. It is your responsibility to have the correct documents to complete the immigration processes.
Drop off Areas: Locations within the city limits of Puerto Iguazu. If staying at the Gran Melia Hotel, there is an extra charge for this service that you can add on the next page.
Pit-Stops: This is a non-stop transfer. Any stops on the way need prior permission (please contact us) or choose one of our pit stops on the following page.

Vehicles are no older than 5 years and are insured against damages to the passenger regardless of whether in Brazil, Argentina, or Paraguay. Drivers hold credentials from the Sest Senat training school in Foz do Iguaçu.

Baggage Allowance: 4 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 4 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 4. If you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance, then contract the van transfer for 5 passengers instead.
For 5 – 12 passengers – Private MiniVan – Renault Master, Mercedes Sprinter or similar
Baggage Allowance: 12 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 15 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 12. Contact us before booking if you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance.
