Puerto Iguazu Hotel to the Argentine Side of the Falls, then onwards to a Foz do Iguaçu Hotel

 

From Puerto Iguazu, your driver will transport you to the entrance of the Iguazu National Park, then after you visit the falls on your own, you transfer across the Brazilian border and to a Foz do Iguacu hotel of your choice.

Transfer Service:   Puerto Iguazu City Location -> Argentine Falls National Park Entrance -> Argentine Immigration -> Brazilian Immigration -> Foz do Iguaçu City Location

Frequency: You may schedule a transfer for any day of the week with pickup between 07:00 am & 13:30 midday.

Border Crossings: The driver will guide you through the process of exiting Argentina and entering Brazil. Our vehicles use a special tourism lane when crossing the border from Argentina, making it faster than possible for the general public.

Important – this transfer crosses an international border. It is your responsibility to have the correct documents to complete the immigration processes.

Pickup Areas:  Locations within the city limits of Puerto Iguazu only.

Drop off Areas: Locations within the city limits of Foz do Iguacu. If staying at the Belmont Cataratas Hotel, there is an extra charge for this service that you can add on the next page.

National Park Entrance Fee:  The entrance to the falls is not included. Your entrance needs to paid directly by you when you arrive at the National park.  Visa and Mastercard are accepted, but if you wish to pay the entrance in cash,  only Argentine Pesos are accepted.

Guide: No guide accompanies you at the falls.  It is possible to add an English speaking guide to your reservation on the next page.

Luggage Storage: You may leave your luggage in the car while you visit the falls, but to protect the driver, we ask you to lock them and to not leave money and valuables in the car.  Take valuables with you into the park or place them in the park’s lockers located at the entrance.

Pick up after the falls:  On the day of your transfer, you will set the time and place for your pick up after the falls directly with the driver.

Pit-Stops: This is a non-stop transfer. Any stops on the way need prior permission (please contact us) or choose a pit-stop on the following page.

Puerto Iguazu Eco-tourism Tax: The city of Puerto Iguazu stop vehicles at a booth when passing through their city on the way to Brazil and they charge visitors a small fee. This tax is not included and is to be paid directly by the passenger. It is usually the equivalent of 2 USD per person and can be paid in Argentine pesos, US dollars, or Brazilian reals.

Timing Guide

  • The gates to the national park open daily at 08:00 am and you need to exit by 18:00 pm.
  • The entrance to the park is located about 25 minutes from the Puerto Iguazu airport.
  • If you walk quickly, you can see all the falls in around 5 hours in the low season or 6 in high season.
  • To visit the falls at a comfortable pace you need about 6 hours in low season or 7 in high season.
  • For a quick visit, you need around 3 hours to take the train to the Devil´s throat section of the waterfalls and back to the entrance.
  • If you want to do the Grand Adventure (Boat Trip)  located inside the park, calculate an extra 1.5 hours.
  • From the park, it takes around 1hour & 20 minutes to get to Foz do Iguacu.

 

Vehicles

Vehicles are no older than 5 years and are insured against damages to the passenger regardless of whether in Brazil, Argentina or Paraguay.  Drivers hold credentials from the Sest Senat training school in Foz do Iguaçu.

For 1 – 4 passengers – Private Sedan – Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Zafira, Chevrolet Meriva or similar

Baggage Allowance:  4 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 4 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 4. If you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance, then contract the van transfer for 5 – 12 passengers instead.

For 5 – 12 passengers – Private Minivan – Renault Master, Mercedes Sprinter or similar

Baggage Allowance:  12 standard sized principal suitcases or backpacks + 12 small carry on items able to fit at your feet if you are a group of 12. Contact us before booking if you plan to travel with more luggage than the allowance.
